my vokera mynute boiler is 8 years old and starting to give trouble at the ?

moment the red light keeps coming on and we have to keep resetting it we were told it must need a new valve which would cost over €208 to renew i am wondering would i be better off updating with a new boiler and getting new wireless controles (do not want to rip up wooden floors for wires) would I be saving myself money in the long run what with a more efficent boiler and controles system and is the worcester 24i HE A rated systems boiler a good boiler
