selector keeps clicking round and the water won,t drain?

i have a indesit wa105 and this morning i done one load of washing which turned out fine then another one went faulty. the selector dial kept clicking round and the load would not finish its programme and would not drain. i managed to get the washing out and tried to run the washer with nothing in the machine but the same problem oocured.
