how can i fix my hotpoint washer/dryer model wd420?

First problem was water gushing from the soap tray when spinning out.This was cured when taking of the black pipe connected to the outlet pump and removing a material blockage.The machine operated ok. for 3or4 washes when their was a smell of burning and the lights on the front started to blink On inspection of the pcb a small section of the print was burnt away, this i repaird and switched on again.The machine operated ok for a short while only for the lights to come on flashing again. I dont know if the pcb is faulty or if there is a faulty connection.Can anyone please help
