How do I charge my rider mower battery? ?

How do I charge my Craftman rider mower battery? It won't start.

Craftsman Garden Tools, Lawn Mowers Charge Mower Battery

Use an external mains operated battery charger, connect the red (positive + ) lead to the battery positive and the black (negative - ) lead to the battery negative. Charge at around 2 amps for a few hours.
