Mend Troy-Bilt 31N807 Battery Model Going

I need to charge the battery?

My Troybilt riding lawn mower model 31N807 will act like it is going to start but never quit turns over. What is the voltage of my battery- we can't determine that by looking at it.

A gel battery on a ride on lawnmower????? Thats a first. Rest assured it's a wet charged 12 volt battery.

If it has three caps it is 6 volt if it has six caps it is 12 volt,. assuming its not a gel battary
