Renault modus boot lock faulty?

My 2005 renault modus boot lock has stoped working. when I press the rubberised button nothing happens. I think it should operate a motor that releases the catch. There is no sound at all when I press the button.

3 years have passed since this question was asked.
I had the same problem but the motor was faulty so I had to buy a new unit.Very easy to fit
