Reanult Senic Megane 05 won't start?

My battery went dead on my Renault Senic Megane 05. The earth wire on it was loose and drained the battery. Nothing was working on the car not the central locking, lights or dash. A friend gave me a jump with leads and power went back into the car ie central locking worked, lights came on so did the dash, but when i put the key card into start the car nothing happens the car will not start. When i press the start button i can feel the steering wheel lock release but the car wont turn on??
