i have a miele washing machine it keeps telling me waterproof fault what do?

As recommended, I tipped machine back at 45 degree angle and foul smelling water came out. When I started program again, fault had cleared. Btw, we have had to drain the sump for the drain pump between every wash since buying this miele 3-4 years ago. If we do not drain every time, then the smell gets into the cloths by the 2nd or 3rd wash. I think this is the last mile that I buy. The smell is rank.

You have water in the bottom switch off and tip it back you will see the water come out!
