system restore didn't work. This malware locked me out of internet access and I cannot execute the download from here http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html, managed to get this from another system that had access to internet, and nothing appears to work. Am left with no internet access, not able to execute any anti-malware pack .exe files, can't system restore and the manual removal instructions I find no processes, no files as per the names in those instructions and nothing in the registry.

Ok. First things first. A lot of forum topics/answers on this particular subject are wrong. They are wrong because they force you to download anti spyware software that ends up costing money if you want to clear off all of the spyware/adware/malware/etc off of your system after it scans.
The easiest way to get rid of Spyware Remover 2009 program is TWO simple steps:
1)
Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware software. Don't worry, you only have to buy the program if you want its full features. Kind of like Adaware and all that other nonsense that has high reviews, etc. This program is simple and a lifesaver when it comes to malware like SR2009. Scan your system. It will find it. Walk through the steps after it's done and get rid of it. The downside: It will take a few minutes to scan. Oh well. You want Spyware Reomover 2009 to stop pissing you off, right?

Download CCleaner. This is also free. Do regular Clean and then after that completes hit the Registry button, and then click Scan for Issues. Make sure you do a backup of what it's about to delete, and then click Fix Selected Issues, and then after that completes reboot your computer. That's it.

I had the same thing on my computer and got rid of it by
A. Using system restore to go to a point when i knew the program was'nt present.

B. Then used a regestry cleaner to get rid of everything not desired
