Mend Kenmore 580.52450 Light Shutting Problem

Why is my Dehumidifier shutting off before the bucket is full?

The Dehumidifier light is lighting saying the bucket is full when it is not. What could be causing this?

It's normally a stuck float switch. Either that or the unit is designed to shut off before it gets full.
