Oh all most forgot... add an airgap. To do so you will need a 1 1/4 in drill bit. Make a hole in the sink. At homedepot or lowes pick up the airgap and a 7/8 hose that will run from the airgap to the garbage disposal.

Your existing hose will run to the airgap first no longer to the garbage disposal. This prevents dirty water from running back into your dishwasher. Takes about 30 minutes. The other fix also takes about 30 minutes

I called a plumber they quoted me 125 bucks. To do it yourself will cost about 30 bucks if you don't have a 1 1/4 drill bit that has a guide. Otherwise it's 20 bucks

i was having the same problem. There is a filter that gets clogged from mineral deposits. Take the dishwasher out flip it on the side.

There is a brass fitting where the water supply goes. There are four screws remove them and it free's the plastic thing behind it which has a black hose on it. Look inside and you will see the filter. I pulled mine out all together.

There is a black o-ring on that plastic piece. Make sure it is there when you screw it back in. I hope this works for you as well. this is my free fix I didn't myself and I'm a 33yr old woman. :)
