how can I fix the tablet dispenser on a diplomat dish washer?

I have a diplomat dishwasher, only just over a year old, from MFI Can't remember the number but similar to those mentioned in other questions. I use it about once a week, last week it did not drop the washing tablet at its usual predetermined time.
After the cycle completed I opened the door to find the tablet still there if a little smaller due to the heat.
The flap had not opened.
I am loathe to call out an engineer for what should be a simple problem.
I have of course since tried all the programs with the same result, the tablet compartment does not open.

I managed to fix it, by taking off the front door panel. Inside I found a connector was loose. Plugged it back in and fixed it with a little insulation tape, so that it did not shake loose again, and it works just fine.

Now how much would that have cost me for an engineer?
Its just a shame the inspectors on the production line are not a little more vigilant in spotting possible problems like this one. But then the engineers would not be able to make a quick buck on a simple job I guess.

Simple answer is to put your tablet in the cutlery tray it works a treat my wife does it all the time since our tablet door failed
