Mend AEG Light Fridge Button

A,E,G. fridge.the light comes on but its not getting cold. ?

please hellp. my a,e,g. fridge is not getting cold. the light comes on and the on off switch is on green. tried to hold the the on off button down but it still dont start up. pluss when having a look the vent at the front was so full of dust. and at the back at the bottom is a little kind of plastic white bowl whitch is bone dry. is that normal.

its hard to help without model details but its either a thermostat fault (if mechanical type).pcb fault or starter fault or compressor fault.does anything click or buzz like its trying to start the compressor?.has it got a thermostat dial that you rotate inside near the light?
