Mend Hotpoint WM51 Bearings Drum Grinding Noise

My Hotpoint wm51 have the bearings gone?

My Hotpoint wm51 has stopped with a bang. There are no signs of any problems anywhere but when turning the drum there is a grinding noise. The noise does not seem to be coming from the bearings at the back but further inside. Is this the bearings?
