How can I fix my Toshiba Satellite laptop screen?

After using my Toshiba Satellite 1115-S103 for about thirty minutes, the screen becomes barely visible. If I try to re-boot, it will turn on and then immediately turn dark. Can you help me with this problem? Many thanks for your help.

the fl inverter sounds broken which is located under the bottom of the screen. You will need to take this to a laptop repair or some how find the parts somewhere on the planet as the model sounds quite old. It can be fixed but could be expensive and worth more than the laptop . Try just connecting and external monitor to check just in case if you can .
