home page and upgrade for free?

You can very easily change your home page.
If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer:
Navigate to the page that you want as your home page.
Open "Internet Options".
Sellect the current page as your home page.
Click "OK"

If you use Firefox:
Navigate to the page you want as a home page.
Tap the Alt key to invoke the menu bar.
Sellect Tools | Options
In the "General" section, click the button that read "Use current page"
Click "OK".


Software upgrade are often free:
Free software upgrades are all drivers upgrades, minor OS upgrades and all OS patches, routine upgrades on most applications.
You may need to navigate to the web site of the distributor or maker of the applications to be upgraded IF the applications don't provide any automatic upgrades and updates functionality.


Hardware opgrades, like adding more RAM, an additional hard drive, a new video or audio card,... are NEVER free.

When you say "toshiba is have 542 error", is that "error CODE 542" or some diagnostic application tells you that there are 542 errors?
Those are totaly different.

If the later, It's possible that most of those are just obsolete registry entries and old shortcuts forgoten by uninstallers. Nothing to wory about...

Be warned that some "diagnostic" tools are realy fakes, or rogues, that PRETEND to find tons of errors and ask you to pay some fee to have them "repared". Several of those don't realy find errors but report some canned errors lists that have no relation to your current state.

Install Ccleaner. It's an excellent and free cleanup and maintenance tool. (to be run every 1 to 2 months)

Have it scan your computer for errors.
After some time, you'll get an errors report with the option of automaticaly fix those.

You can fix them one by one or all at once. Both options are safe.
Before you start the repair process, you have the option of backing up the current state. It's not needed, but can be a handy failsafe.
