Mend Advent 7012 Laptop Screen Reboot

Advent 7012 flashing screen?

Hi, I have an Advent 7012 laptop which has a problem with the screen. Now and then it will flash, moving the screen sometimes sorts it but more often than not I need to reboot.
Any ideas?

It can be a build up of static. Remove all cables and unplug battery. Hold down the power button (on/off button) for 30 seconds and then plug back into the mains (not forgettin the battery before this), and see how it runs. Sounds more like a software issue to be honest. Try recovery as well but you will lose all personal data.
