how can I fix my Hotpoint dishwasher DF54 First Edition?

The water was staying cold so I cleaned the filters as they were blocked. Now all works but the water is cold and does not seem to empty , just stays in machine and keeps going. I seem to remember a callout bloke reset something when he came out years ago to look at it. Does anyone know how to reset the machine after filters have been cleaned?
