o2 seat toledo drivers door wont open?

can anyone advise me how to open the door on my 02 seat toledo,it wont open from outside,or inside.the cable came of the door handle a few days ago,i was able to open the door from inside,remove the key barrell and pop it back in. now something else has gone and the door wont open at all. PANIC!!!
