cannot lock my renault laguna with my keyless pad?

I have a 2005 Renault Laguna with a 2 button keypad to operate the car, that is to open and lock doors,to set the alarm and to start and drive the car.Everything operates except I cannot lock the car using the keyless pad, if I lock the car using a key in the door handle I can then drive the car and if I park up and lock the car with the key, when I come back I can open the doors using the push button pad. I have replaced the battery.... no good. help

there is a sync procedure
as long as you have working cardkeys [led lights for lock and unlock functions] it should be easy to reset the keys to the vehicle. consult a renault dealership and have a quick word in the service bay

then the only thing you can do really is to book the vehicle into your local renault dealer and ask them to resync them for You sorry

No it doesnt rattle and I have 2 key pads and they both do exactly the same, the only thing they won"t do is lock the car.

sounds stupid but does the card rattle if shaken?
