WHEN STARTED FROM COLD ENGINE RATTLING EVERY TIME YOU ACCELARATE. NOISE VIRTUALLY DISSAPPEARS AFTER 20 MINUTES OF DRIVING.

the noise could be a thing called diesel knock caused by extra fuel being injected when cold,although some early 2.2 dci models suffered from a fault on the fuel pump pulley which has a pin which works loose after around 35,000 miles
