how can I fix intermittant fault with 2.2 X-Trail deisel sport?
Like others,the car suddenly loses power,usually when in lower gears,causing it to cut out. I have cleaned parts etc but I am thinking it's definately the EGR unit. At £480 to buy,I am a little reluctant in case it's something else! Should I feel confident in replacing it? Any advice appreciated.
i had similar thing with my 3.2 petrol musso, i removed the air flow sensor and cleaned it with brake cleaner,same as carb cleaner, cured it for me , its now in my service routine.132000 miles and can still 4 wheel power drift but 14 to the gallon !may p/ex for an economical 5.2lt v8 yank :-)
