my hoover six 1200?

You need to replace the carbon brushes, which you can buy on ebay usually for less than £10, my machine is also a hoover six and the drum wouldnt turn for either washing or spinning although it sounded like the program was going through the motions, we replaced the brushes and hey presto! Quite easy to change yourself, if you call a machine man in they charge over £60 and take about 10 min, you can find details on how to do it on one of the 'how do i change.....blah blah' websites...good luck
