Mend Hoover Logic 1200 Cycle

My Hoover Logic 1200 wont fast spin? Can you help!?

Hi there,
My Hoover Logic 1200 works fine untill the fast spin cycle comes around, then it just stops dead. There is no noise or other problems wrong with my trusted machine.
I have tried to wash on an empty wash and it does the same thing empty, Are the motor bushes gone? I had a brand new program switch fitted 3yrs ago so I can't see that beeing the problem.

Hi again Evo, there are only two carbon brushes in the motor one at each side and if they have worn down below about 1/2 inch they need replaceing I have seen many differing prices for cabons so do a search for hoover carbon brushes on the web to get a feel for what the average price should be

Yes the water emptys fine no probs,
Does all the brushes around the motor come out? What should heathly motor brushes look like thanks!
How much should they cost around, just a guide would do as I have a local parts shop near me and I dont want to get ripped off!
