Mend Simpson 22S751 Washing Machine Water Level Sensor

How can I fix my Simpson washing machine Model 22S751 ?

The machine is erratic in sensing the water level (on small, med or high water level) and does not switch onto "wash" or "rinse" when it should. Result: water overflow

note: This problem seemed to start after a load which my have been to heavy.
