Hotpoint washer won't spin or agitate model #WLW3810SALWW?

My hotpoint washer won't spin or agitate...When the spin cycle attempts to engage the drum tries to spin but freezes with about an 1/8 of a turn...I have exposed the back of the machine and found oil on the unit as well...The belt seems to be in good condition...Model #WLW3810SALWW
