Mend Hotpoint Washer Cycle Finished

why doesn't my hotpoint washer /dryer cool down when cylce is compete?

I have had a brand new hotpoint washer dryer. When the complete cycle is finished the macheine drum is very hot and the clothes are still damp. It
is ruining the clothes . what is the problem with it,

are you following the MAX load guides for drying quantity?
overloading will cause issues on dry cycle.you can't wash full loads and dry them.refer to manual
