How can i fix a wet MP3 player?

My mp3 player was put in the same bag as some bath toys that still had a little water in them now the player wont turn on or if it does it wont play.
It is a 1GB player and it was purchased form Prometheus Technology limited, HELP.

I heard if you put it in some dry rice, it will soak up all the moisture and eventually start working again.
