Mend Peugeot 306 XRD L Reg

how can i fix my gearbox peugeot 306 xrdt 1994 l reg?

i was travelling at 80mph on the motorway when suddenly my car slipped out of 5th gear.i managed to get it back in but it then happened again a few moments later.this occured about 3times so i slowed down and used my car in 4th gear.could it be simply the gearbox oil or am i going to need a new gearbox

Hi you probably dont need a new gearbox,just need to repair 5th gears.
The oil cannot make it jump out of gear im afraid.
You,d need to remove the 5th gear cover and strip 5th gear down to see what parts are needed to repair it.
