Just changed the head gasket on my L reg 1.1 106, now won't start. Turns over once when i turn the key, top end cam turns a quarter turn and then just...Chk. A friend who is a pretty reliable mechanic thinks the timing 180 out, but with the top end pinned the bottom end doesn't turn far enough? Any ideas? Am i just being thick?
well it wont if some of the valves are open. you will have to turn bottom pulley round, and cam a bit round, so pistons dont hit the valves, until the holes both line up.
