Mend scunci ss-1000 Work Water Build

scunci steamer model ss-1000 doesnt work?

I used my steamer for about a month and now it won't stream. I think it is hard water build up. How do I fix it? the manual says not to use vinegar, so I haven't. I liked the product I just need to know how to keep it working.

add mix vinegar and water. Let it heat up. pulse button till starts to sputter and then hold till it clears. I have done this a few times and it works and does not damage the unit. Its essentially lime or calcium buildup that it clogging the sprayer
