Mend Light Fitting Earth

Metal Light Fitting with no Earth?

I've bought a new halogen ceiling light fitting which is metal. The fitting does not have an earth connection only the live and neutral to a small connection box (Space for earth but no cable).

Question is do I try and connect the earth cable in my ceiling to the fitting or just leave it dangling?

D.I.Y, Lighting Light Fitting Earth

The fitting sounds like its double insulated, there will be a logo on it with a square inside another one to show this, connect the earth to the terminal supplied.
