How can I fix the chuck on my drill that is jammed in open position?

The chuck did not grab the drill bit in my cordless Black and Decker. The drill bit holder is now jammed open. How can I get it to release?

It depends on which chuck style for your black and decker power tool. A general answer would be to get a couple pair of pliers and try to open or close whatever you problem is. There are just so many chuck styles it is hard to say without looking at it.
