fast flasher unit?

Mercedes sprinter 311 CDI
The flasher unit funs fast. Tried swapping flasher unit still runs fast.
any ideas

Have you checked if a flasher light isn't working first,put the flasher on and make sure all lights work,fast flasher most times indicates a blown bulb.
