how do i know which air flow sensor has broken in my merc sprinter 311 cdi ?

that depends on whats happening. there is a boost temperature sensor, a boost pressure sensor. it may have an air mass, but i doubt it, rare on that model.
more information needed. why do you think its a sensor, if you had it diagnosed, they would have said which one it was surely?
