First have you checked the fuse in the plug ? ( Stupid question ? !)Is there power at the socket ? - Plug in a lamp to check ?) If the socket and plug are OK then the fault is in the machine ! - ( Although many years ago as a "Field Engineer" , one who visits peoples homes to repair faults - I once came across a TV that didn't work as their Parrot had bitten through the mains cable ! Lucky for the Parrot it was the Neutral leg - not the live !!)This gets tricky as it could be on the main circuit board - there is sometimes a fuse protecting the board , but fuses seldom "blow" without a reason . Without knowing both the machine and having a circuit diagram I cannot be more helpful !
