how do's a freezer work?

make is an electra freezer i dont know the model of the freezer the freezer was defrosted and switched back on the freezer is not cold it is not even freezing i can here fluids moveing at the back of the freezer that is what fridges and freezers do. that is not the problem weel i dont beleve that is not the problem it could be something else thank you kevin
