Mend Samsung RL38SBSW Light Work Bulb

Samsung RL38SBSW interior light does not work?

The interior light does not work on our Samsung RL38SBSW fridge freezer. I have changed the bulb & it still does not come on (I have checked the new bulb by the way & it's fine). Any ideas?? Thanks, Sean.

got it working!

i switched off the power, got a small metal implement (technically known as a pointy kitchen knife) & lifted the brass electrical contacts up from the surface a wee bit, to improve contact with bulb & 'ping' we have light. now i know how edison must have felt.
