Mend Rover 420 Battery Problem

i have a rover 420 1997 2l petrol?

i have a problem with my handseat it just died i change the batery end stil dont work whitout the hand seat i cant start the car what can i do?

handseat?do you mean the remote central locking key fob for the imobilizer?you might need to go to a rover dealer & get the code sorted on it.if the batterys been out or dead for a while that will be why its not working.
