Mend Iveco Daily Engine Cut Off

engine cut off?

i bought an iveco daily van from auction. when i turn on the engine, it starts fine but on release of the hand brake, the engine cuts out? any solution or cause of problem

hi does it have any power equipment on it ie it had a generator in the back if not remove the handbrake cover and look for a live feed and re route to a permanant live feed

Is it a diesel? Check that you have power to the stop solenoid with ign. on and hand brake released. If not, it seems you have lost an earth somewhere, and the hand brake switch is providing the earth path.
Check the engine earth straps.
