Have had a couple of Vauxhalls with crank sensor faults showing up on code readers,change the sensor and the fault was still there,they were quite old motors,about 10 yrs old and was told to hard wire the actual connector onto the sensor itself and the problem was solved,just through time a bad connection occurred at the sensor itself.it is maybe worth a look for yourself,good luck.
