how can i get the brushes out my hotpoint aquaris machine?

with the power OFF and plug REMOVED remove the lid top to access the motor, with a short stubby screwdriver pressed up the base of the brush box holder press the plastic barb to clear the side of the slot housing, now pull the brush out with long nosed pliers or a piece of stiff hook shaped wire, remove the wire feed connection to the brush holder
NOTE
DO NOT RELEASE the brushes until the new brush box is HELD in POSITION by the retaining plastic BARB do this for both brushes then reattach the brush power supply
(the brushes are RELEASED by bending back the small brass tag 90 degrees.)
