Mend Hotpoint WF860P Washing Machine Drum Motor

How do I remove top or access the inside of my Hotpoint washing machine?

The drum refuses to turn on my Hotpoint washing machine. On previous models this has been due to: worn brushes, burnt out motor or dislodged drive belt. However on this model WF860P (unlike previous ones) I cannot work out how to take off the top of the machine to gain access to the inside to diagnose &/or repair the fault. How do I remove the top or gain access inside the machine, is there some special tool required for this on this model?

yeah, but if your wanting to access/check the motor its now mounted on the bottom of the drum instead of under the lid,take access hatch at back of machine off,this is where you will find the motor...

hi just remove the rear screws and using the palm of your hand knock the lid back towards the rear of the machine you may have to give it some stick its quite tight
