stuck dvd player tray?

the tray on my sony dvp-s560d is stuck. i can't open it and there is a dvd in it. it makes a short sound, stops and then nothing. btw, the player has been disappointing. its performance has deteriorated steadily over time.

Well if its not under garantee then unplug the unit and remove the screws for the top case. Pull the rear up first then pull out.Using a small screwdriver take off the metal plate on the dvd drive and take it out.If still under garantee using a paperclip lengthen it out and slide it into the bottom of the dvd player draw on the right and push the gear until it comes out then you can pull it all the way.
