I have the same dryer which I just fixed for a similar problem.
My dryer would not start spinning and just made a hum sound. The problem was the capacitor which is mounted on the motor. When this capacitor goes faulty the motor labours to start. I measured the capacitor with a multimeter that has the capacitance function and got a reading of 0.6uF instead of 6uF. After purchasing a replacement for $20 dollars at an appliance spares shop, I fitted it and now the dryer works as good as new
