my maytag washer model#sav2655aww is leaking water out the drum?

i want to know how to take the drive shaft for the drum out to replace the seal

Ditto. Same problem here. This is an expensive, major chronic problem with Maytag motel # sav2655aww. I would not buy one.

We bought the same series Maytag washer and our repair person said this is a chronic design problem, which means it may fail regularly. Your washer is actually made up of Amana parts, not Maytag parts. Maytag is playing "see no evil, hear no evil" with this one.
