Philips 28PW6305/05 problems?

Hi, I'm having some problems with my 7 year old Philips 28PW6305/05 tele:

1) OSD will not work unless you use Teletext for a few minutes. Even then, it will only stay on screen for a minute or two.

2) I can hear sound from external devices (Scart), but get no picture on EXT1/2. This is the case for a Video recoder, Freeview box and DVD Player. I've tried connecting the Video by co-ax cable, but the TV won't pick up a picture.

Please help, as I really love this TV and don't want a new one!
