how to clean carpet?

I spilled hot wax from a candle on the carpet. How can I clean my carpet if there is dried wax stuck on the carpet? Please Help!

place brown wrapping paper over it and place a hot iron on top.
the hot iron will melt the wax and the paper will absorb it.
