Vauxhall Combo 2005 water leak into drivers footwell?

Hi know this is an old post but will answer it for other people with the same proble who drive a corsa c combo van or tigra. The most common problem on water entering the drivers side is nominally caused because of breaks in the sealer on the brake servo plate. The best way to repair this is to remove the servo to allow you to get proper access to the plate so the sealer can be removed and the plate can be cleaned. I use a primer and a polyurethane sealer to repair the ones I do. The servo it's self has a gasket we do always do away this gasket and use a soft sealer that never drys so should you need to remove the servo again it can be removed easily. We have also found water entering via the bonnet release cable geometry on the servo plate. Other places to check is water entering the sills on the car via the door seals best way to fix this is to remove one of the grommets in the sill. If you have side skirts the grommets are locate behind the skirts. I have the same problem on my vauxhall combo 1.7Di (2004) no water in passengers side drivers side is soaked .I believe it is under the brake servo unit where there is a seal to the bulkhead. First to dry out the floor I removed all the carpet on the drivers side and removed a lot of panels to do this including loosening the handbrake cable to access the middle panel and remove it and then found the soundproofing sponge underneath the carpet was totally saturated with water. This proved to be hard to remove due to having to remove the dashboard an I did not fancy that so propped it up to dry and it's taking ages as expected. Obviously I covered where the leak was an the seams to be no more water getting in . Also removed the leaves from the flap and cleaned tht out . After this I stuck my camera down there with the flash on and got a pic of the broken seal under te brake servo . This seams to be a common problem and I'm hoping that this is the only leak. My question is can I remove the brake servo and brake fluid resovoir or just the resovoir without spilling fluid everywhere so I can access the leak area to seal it or will I have to bleed the breaks all over if I remove these ?

Same with mine, I cleaned all the leaves out from behind the brake servo, flushed through cleaning the outlet in the engine compartment. I was very pleased with myself, spent a week drying the carpets out.
However its rained today, the van is parked up and the carpet is absolutely soaking.

I had the same problem on my vauxhall combo 54 plate! It's the clutch pedal and master cylinder which is bolted to the bulk head and goes through to the engine bay. I had to remove all carpet, lower the steering rack, the rubber on the master cylinder clutch pedal is very thin and will wear. You have to remove it clean thoroughly and replace using a lot of mastic. This fixed my problem. This is a bad design from vauxhall as wear it goes through is in a water channel under the windscreen.

I have a 55 1.3 that I had added the posh full rubber mats, on investigating a foul smell ----------- blaming the dog ----------- I realised that the dog couldnt get a gallon in both the drivers side footwells, it must be a leak.

I cleaned the leaves out from beneath the brake servo, opened the bonnet and fished about up the drain flap and cleared some old foam and crap.

Put the hose on the windscreen and watched to see if anything came back inside, it seems I am lucky that it was just a leave blockage. We will see if I drive in the rain causes problems, if so everything is going to be siliconed up big time, its a horrid problem.

i spent a lot of time on the passanger foot well. Eventually traced that to the seal inside the black electrical box (between the battery and the main body of the car), i took the top of the box off and stripped out the rubber seal i then filled the space with with gutter sealant this seems to have done the trick. Water will also come in through the heating system via the pollen filter so that is worth a look. Today put sealant around the seal of the brake servo? which seems to be perrished, fingers crossed! I hope this will get rid of the marsh in the drivers side foot well, reading other comments this appears to be a problem seal. i will also sealant up the seal where the break flexi hose comes through. I also cleaned the water drains but they did not seem too bad.

i had the same trouble when it came to it was the flexi hose to the servo unit and a brake pipe that go though the bulkhead into the van there is a rubber seal around them and it was leaking through there. vauxhall combo 1.7 tdi 2003 model

hi, ive got the same problem mine is being caused by the black piece of the bulkhead which the pedals/servo bolt to ! ive had to completely remove dashboard / steering column / pedals / servo and reseal between the bulkhead and the black metal support
