Mend Peugeot 106 XN Problem

Peugeot 106 XN (1996 model) driver's seat problem?

Whilst driving the driver's seat some times suddently slides back. Appears to be some fault with the seat sliding/adjustment mechanism. Any helpful advice to fix the problem will be greatly appreciated.

well i had that problem and i cheated by welding a spring between the addustment arm and the bottom of the seat.

but to do it properly you have to buy the part as the teeth on the rack wear down. causing the seat to slide back.
